Chemically modified Hot Start Tth-polymerase

Tth DNA polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase. Tth polymerase is obtained from thermophil bacteria Thermus thermophilus (Tth) HB8 and expressed in E.coli system.

The ferment has a reverse transcriptase activity, 5’ → 3’ polymerase activity and 5’ → 3’ exonuclease activity in the presence of Mn²⁺ ions. Thus, Tth can carry out RT-PCR at higher temperatures.

The ferment is stable to long-term incubation at higher temperatures (+95 °C).
